Day 1 - Arrival and Party

It was a good flight from Düsseldorf to Saint Petersburg. Already in the plane I got to speak to my sitting neighbours about nices things to do and see in old Leningrad. It was the tipical couple. He from western Europe, she from Russia. A tipical Story with the title "from Russia with love" :-)

Nelly & Vladimir came to pick me up. It was a long awaited visit, so it took us less than 2 minutes to crack jokes and have laughs the whole way to the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel are old huge buildings. With hundreds of windows they miss of charming atmosphere. However, this was only the first Impression. Once found and entered the hotel this first suspicious feeling was replaced by a feeling of high class. The room was just amazing! We even had a own bear in the sleeping room. I was quite glad that he was already dead on this wall. But it was the ultimate sign that I arrived in Russia.

In the evening Party. For those who have never been to Russia, a party here is dancing, drinking and having a lot of fun. Ok, this is also in other countries the main purpose. But here you write these things with capital letters. The style is very different to what I know from Switzerland, but gooooooooood!!! :-)
